Well, folks, I be a little concerned today, I am water logged, but am bummed out from not seeing the Mr. Sol show up, if only Mr. Sol know how disparaged I am .  I need Mr. Sol to show up to enable my further progress on ole Clyde (mah van don't mind).  So far, I have replace just about all the chassis parts plus other parts so that I will feel better about hittin da road soon.  Right now, I am hunkered down trying to get a picture in my mind of how to finish out the interior in rustic Adirondack style.  I am real proud of ole cuzzin David jr. for doing the shelving in the "storage" area of the van, gee, its really nice to have a "tool shed" in the back of the van and since it is an extended van, the portion closed off at the back from the front of the van is great to organize the necessities like tools, batteries, generator, air compressor, toolbox, knick knacks, etc..  With the cargo carrier rack in the receiver, I will be able to carry the barrel stove that cuzzin David fashioned and set it up at camp as a stove and with tarps, enclose the stove with 3 tarp walls for greater comfort in heating.   Well, till next time.

Perfecting the art of thumb twiddling.

Days are short, but seem to be getting longer or at least, looking for a suitable van to take care of my travel plans. The problem is that this area I am in , is like a stepchild to the rest of the state, proper vans are a scarcity here and the many that I find on the net, are at least a half days travel from here and being afoot, well, tough row to hoe, but, I am patient to a big degree and know that something will pop up sooner or later and look out, ole dick will be plowing down the road, look out and duck ya'll.
I did find one I am interested in located in Minnesota, nice looking vehicle and whats nice is that the passenger seats have been removed and the cargo area is "floored" with nice interlocking flooring, ready to install the "camper" goodies, i.e., sink, stove , bed (half bed on one side in back), maybe a shower? I would need to look around for a trailer that is no longer road worthy and talk the owner out of the "goodies". Well, back to my scavenging.

Well, Maria has been bugging me to update and get offin mah rear, but, not being "up" on such things as blogs this will probably be closely akin to , say, adding anchovies to my favorite dish of icy cream, i.e., strawberry, such is life , huh?.
Life has such wicked twists and turns, one must be continuously awake and aware, ready to weave oneself thru the maze, I wonder why life must be so much like a puzzle, always searching for the right piece of the puzzle in order to continue on the path to fullment.
Presently, I am searching for a mode of transportation, preferably a van, which to me, will be my home on wheels, a choice that , to me, represents another piece to the puzzle, a situation that will me to wade thru this bumpy existence. Having spent 6 yrs. previously in a 20 ft. TT, one realizes that everyone has a built in "want button", a button that sometimes illicitly is designed to enhance the "bumps and potholes" in life. Once one realizes that the more simply one lives, the happier and more accomplished one turns out, why dosen't everyone realize this?
Having rambled thru this, reckin I will let it rest and find something productive to do for today.
Heres wishing all a productive and ingratiatingly satisfying day. Come on Maria, lets go.

What the Heck??

Into the unknown, at least that is what it feels like for this ole fart. Shoulda studied "Greek" in school, maybe I woulda been a little more prepared as far as Computors and the Internet are concerned. But like anything in life, one can search, research, study which leads to a headache, or just jump in like I'm doing now. So this blog site is under construction and will contain, in the future, that which maybe is new or different and maybe tingle some old brain cells, which can only be a good thing.?? huh. I would hope that when I finally "hit the road" that I will meet those of like mind and currently free as the birds to wing their way accross the sky discovering the wonders of nature provided to us by our maker. At present, I am sitting here in the east, alongside one of the most famous Trout fishing rivers, known all over the world and not once have I accepted its invitation, sad.
